Survey Participation Required Today

Apologies all for the very short notice. Survey participation deadline
is Friday, March 19, 2021.

On January 22nd, 2021, a Declaration for gender-based violence (GBV)
free Canada was endorsed by the Federal, Provincial, Territorial
Ministers responsible for the Status of Women during the 38th
Conference. The government will be creating the countries first National
Action Plan on Gender-Based Violence.  We think this strategy should
include multiple perspectives.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape Canada’s first ever National
Action Plan to End Gender-Based Violence Plan. We appreciate your time,
knowledge, expertise, and commitment to participating in this engagement
process. This engagement process will support the Government of Canada’s
overall efforts to promote and advance gender equality in Canada.
Gender-based violence is one of the most pervasive forms of human rights
violations and can be defined as ‘violence perpetrated against someone
based on their gender or gender identity’. As this violence is generally
targeted against women and girls, sometimes the term is used
interchangeably with violence against women and girls, but gender-based
violence also has a disproportionate impact on LGBTQ2+ and gender
non-binary people.

Please complete the survey at

It will take 20-30 minutes. As a token of appreciation, we will provide
a $25 e-gift card to the first 115 respondents. The survey will close
March 19.

Help shape the first National Gender Based Violence Plan.  Have your say
