Exploring the impact of the COVID-19 global pandemic on selected Canadian forensic nursing client populations: Seeking tangible solutions.
Since the global pandemic was declared by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020, over 186,000 Canadians have tested positive for COVID-19. Public Health orders and recommendations designed to limit the spread of COVID-19 create compounding circumstances for vulnerable populations, leaving them at greater risk for violence and harm.
Please join our 4 expert panelists for a rich discussion regarding the impact of the current global pandemic on vulnerable forensic nursing client populations: relationship violence; sexual assault and human trafficking; child abuse/sexual assault/commercial sex trafficking; and, the opioid crisis
Together, we hope to generate a list of concerns and tangible solutions to present to our Canadian Nurses Association representative who will convey them on our behalf to the federal Minister of Health.
